Specimen Compressometer - The axial compressometer consists of 2 rings that are fitted over the 6” diameter specimen. The lower ring is rigidly attached to the specimen at the three points. The upper ring (rotating yoke) is attached to the specimen at opposing point allowing rotations. The lower and upper rings are attached to a long pivot rod to maintain constant distance. The opposite point on the circumference changes distance as the specimen is tested. The displacement is measured with 1/2” dial gage with 0.0005 graduations.
